We are a CLOSED aviary. Meaning that we do not allow visitors or birds into our aviary without proper quaratine measures. We ensure all of our birds are free from health issues and disease to the best of our ability. All of our breeders are tested negative for disease. We do our very best to ensure the health and safety of all our animals. We do have a proper quarantine system in place for all new animals coming into our aviary, though quarantine may not catch some issues as the animal will not show symptoms. There are no wild caught/born or bred birds within our aviary.
To reserve a bird we require a non-refundable 50% deposit of the total for a single bird, for any additional birds to be reserved we will require the same 50% deposit for that bird as well. The deposit will hold the birds until they are weaned. Once weaned we will schedule a pick-up or flight date. If you, the customer, require us to hold any bird(s) longer than 2 weeks after weaning we will require the customer to send us 50% of their remaining total to hold them for an additional 2 weeks. We will NOT hold birds for longer than 4 weeks total, unless stated otherwise at our own discretion. In the event that the bird(s) are not available due to sickness, death, or any other circumstance owing to the fault of the breeder, the customer’s deposit will be either refunded or transferred to a different bird at the customers discretion. Beyond that all deposits are non-refundable and no refunds will be given if the customer decides they no longer wish to have the bird(s) at any time.
Every customer has 72 hours from the time they took possession of their bird to have the bird examined by a licensed veterinarian, at the adopter’s sole cost. If the bird fails the examination, the customer may return the bird with a written statement from the veterinarian, for a partial refund of the bird. All vet fees are covered solely by the customer. Failure by the customer to have the bird examined within the 72-hour period will nullify this warranty. If the customer chooses to keep said bird, no replacement or refund will be given and all medical costs and treatment are the sole responsibility of the customer and the health guarantee will be null and void.
We do NOT allow customers to return their bird(s) for the biosecurity and safety of our flock. The only instance that we will allow customers to return their bird(s) is within the 72-hour grace period mentioned above after being examined by a licensed veterinarian with a written statement signed by said veterinarian.
